The AI Technology Center (AITC) serves as the core of Tokyo University of Technology’sinitiative to become aleading “AI University.” AITC focuses on three main pillars: AIEducation, AI Application Research, and AI Ethics, promoting open innovation and humanresource development through AI.
About AITC
The AI Technology Center (AITC) positions AI not merely asa technology, but as a cross-disciplinary ‘Tool of Knowledge’ that integrates science, society, and culture. The centerpromotes AI education and applied research across multiple fields.
Background
Established in 2024, AITC was founded to realize Tokyo University of Technology’s vision ofbecoming an ‘AI University.’ The center aims to nurture AI-capable talent and promotesocial implementation of AI through academia-industry collaboration.
Three Core Missions
1. Promotion of AI Education (for high schools,universities, and corporate training; AICookBook project)
2. AI Application Research (Digital Twin, Explainable AI, Generative AI applications)
3. AI Implementation and Ethics (corporate collaboration, AI ethics education, Rome Callprinciples)
Collaborating Centers
AITC works closely with the Digital Twin Center and the AI & Ethical Technology Center tocomprehensively promote education, application, and ethics in AI.
